Biography:
Aurelio Nordera was an Italian sculptor and engraver. He was born on February 1, 1933, in Cazzano di Tramigna, Italy. Nordera lived and worked in Mantova and Roverbella. He studied at the Istituto d'Arte Venturi in Modena under the guidance of Enos Passerini, Giovanni Minuti, Benito Boccolari, and Marino Quartieri. Nordera's artistic style evolved over time, from his early work with terracotta and bronze to his later exploration of movement, slant, and lightness in marble. He is known for his dynamic sculptures that defy the static nature of traditional sculpture. Nordera passed away on June 17, 2012, at the age of 79.
