Ayaka Okuma is a Japanese photographer and actress. She was born and raised in Japan. Okuma crossed the Pacific Ocean on a 36-foot yacht, which had a significant impact on her life and influenced her photography style. She studied photography in Perth, Australia, and has held photo exhibits at home and abroad under the theme of 'Living'. Okuma's work focuses on conceptual and documentary photography, often exploring themes of mortality, loss, and the human experience. Her series 'My Buddha' is a poignant elegy to those who have lost their lives due to COVID-19. Okuma has received several awards for her work, including Capture Magazine Art Photo TOP 5 in 2020.
