Biography:

Josep Blasco i Canet was a Spanish sculptor and painter born on October 25, 1943, in Llutxent, Valencia. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts of Valencia under Vicente Beltrán Grimal and later graduated in Fine Arts from the School of San Carlos in Valencia. Blasco i Canet moved to Pamplona in 1967 and became a key figure in the educational world, serving as Director of the Teacher Training College, associate professor at the Public University of Navarra, and Vice-rector of the Faculty of Human Sciences. He was also the Cultural Co-ordinator of the Public University of Navarra and the Director of the Carlos III Cultural Hall. Blasco i Canet's artistic work focused on public sculpture, and he participated in various exhibitions in Navarra, La Rioja, and France. His work is represented at the Public University of Navarra and decorates several doorways and gardens in Pamplona.
