Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo

Biography:

Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo are Filipino comic book artists best known for their horror/crime komiks series Trese. Tan grew up in a haunted house and was inspired by Filipino folklore to write Trese, while Baldisimo is a fan and avid reader of Filipino komiks from the 80s and 90s. Baldisimo is also a storyboard artist by day and comic book creator by night, working on TRESE and his self-published bi-weekly zine called WKWKMDNK. He currently resides in Davao City, Philippines with his wife and son. Tan currently works in the LEGO Agency in Denmark as one of the creative leads for the toy company’s global communication campaigns. Trese has won the Philippine National Book Award for Best Graphic Literature of the Year in 2009, 2011, 2012 and has been adapted into an animated series by Netflix.
