Carol Tarn was born in 1963 in Leece, Cumbria, England. She is best known for being the victim of the Lady in the Lake murder trial in the 1990s and 2000s. Tarn was bludgeoned to death by her husband, Gordon Park, with an ice axe, and her body was dumped in Coniston Water. Park told police that Tarn had left their home for another man. Tarn's death and the subsequent trial received significant media attention in England.
