Chester Young Martin was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1936. He attended the University of Chattanooga from 1952 to 1955 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He is known for his career as an artist and was the U.S. Mint engraver. He passed away on September 24, 2019.
