Biography:
Carl Pfeuffer, also known as Christoph Carl Pfeuffer, was a German engraver and medalist. He was born in Suhl, Thuringia, Germany in 1801 and died in Berlin in 1861. He was a Chef d’atelier at the Berliner Medaillen-Münze Loos from 1828 to 1840, where approximately 80,000 medals were produced and sold. In 1840, he became a medailleur at the Königliche Münze Berlin. He is known for his work on the prize medal of the trade exhibition in the Berlin armoury in 1844.
