Biography:
Christophe de Ponfilly was a French journalist, film director, cinematographer, and screenwriter. He was born on January 5, 1951, in Angers, France, and died on May 16, 2006. He was married to Florence Dauchez. De Ponfilly was the recipient of numerous awards for his work, including the Prix Albert-Londres in 1985 for 'Les Combattants de l'Insolence', the Special jury prize at the festival du scoop et du journalisme d’Angers in 1999 for 'Monsieur le Rabin', and the Special jury prize at the 14th global television festival in Japan in 2000 for 'Massoud, l'afghan'. He was also the founder of Albert Films and Interscoop, The Interscoop Press Agency.
