Widely considered to be one of the forefathers of South African fashion design, Clive Rundle’s storied career has spanned over three decades. He was born in Zimbabwe and relocated to South Africa during his early childhood. After completing schooling, he travelled for four years. He started as a designer in apartheid South Africa and has been selling delicious womenswear for more than three decades. His fashion and design brand is renowned for its uncanny design aesthetic, which achieves this through an intelligence that harmoniously integrates multiple elements. Clive Rundle disavows the title of fashion designer in favour of describing his garment-making as a design-dream process that culminates in intricate structures.
