Mestre Pero was a Portuguese sculptor who lived in the 15th and 16th centuries. He was the head of a workshop in Coimbra, where he produced several sculptures in the Mannerist style. His works are characterized by their elegance, refinement, and attention to detail. Despite his importance in the history of Portuguese art, little is known about his life and career. It is believed that he was born in Coimbra and died in the 16th century, but the exact dates of his birth and death are unknown. His works can be found in various churches and museums in Portugal, and he is considered one of the most important sculptors of the Portuguese Mannerist period.
