Biography:
Daniela Comani is an Italian artist born in Bologna in 1965. She studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, where she has lived since 1989. Comani's multimedia work explores themes such as history, language, gender, and identity, often using familiar-looking photos and texts from newspapers, television, and books. Her artistic practice includes photography, texts, drawings, video, and installation. Comani has exhibited in numerous institutions around the world, including Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin, Museum Ludwig in Cologne, and Museum Folkwang in Essen.
