Biography:

Daria Pastrevych, also known as Daria Cherkasheninova, is a Polish sports psychologist born in Iława, Poland in 1987. She was an accomplished sailor as a junior, but a wrist fracture ended her sailing career at the age of 18. She then began coaching other sailors and built her reputation as a prominent sports psychologist in Poland by working with various athletes, including cyclists, swimmers, and chess players. She studied sport and psychology at the University of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk and SWPS University in Warsaw, where she graduated with a master's degree in psychology in 2016. Pastrevych is known for working closely with Polish tennis player Iga Świątek, whom she began coaching in 2019. She emphasizes the importance of establishing healthy routines and setting reasonable goals for her clients. Pastrevych is also a visual artist and has created abstract paintings using acrylic on paper.
