Biography:

Davide Balliano is an Italian artist born in Turin in 1983. He currently lives and works in New York. Balliano's research operates on the thin line of demarcation between painting and sculpture, utilizing an austere, minimal language of abstract geometries in his work. He is best known for his wood, metal, and glass sculptures, as well as his live performances, choreography, digital media, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and social enterprise. Balliano's work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions in Rome, Milan, New York City, and other locations. His works are held in the permanent collections of the Farnesina Experimenta at the Palazzo della Farnesina, the Galleria Comunale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Viareggio, Tuscany, and the William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation.
