Biography:
Davide Stucchi is an Italian artist born in Milan in 1988. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, and at the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, Italy. Stucchi's artistic research makes use of minimal interventions, often ones of subtraction or alteration, on pre-existing materials. His installations evoke absent bodies and often use absence and the banal trappings of domesticity to talk about getting 'turned on'. He has had solo exhibitions at Martina Simeti, Milan, Italy (2021); Deborah Schamoni, Munich, Germany (2020); Sundogs, Paris, France (2019); and other galleries. He has also participated in group exhibitions at Deborah Schamoni, Munich, Germany (2021); MACRO Museum, Rome, Italy (2020); and other institutions. Stucchi currently lives and works in Milan, Italy.
