Biography:
Dorothy Eisner was an American artist born in Manhattan, New York in 1906. She is known for her painting style that evolved from social realism to abstract expressionism and culminated in a bright painterly style. Eisner traveled extensively and is best known for her late work created in a summer home off the coast of Maine on Great Cranberry Island. She passed away in 1984.
