Biography:
Earle G. Barlow was an American artist born in 1923 in East Boothbay, Maine. He was a marine painter and taught art in Salem, Massachusetts, and later at Brunswick High School in Maine. Barlow also opened his own art gallery and continued making art until about four years before his death in 2013. He built his own boat from 1969 to 1973 and spent three years sailing across the Atlantic, around Europe, and back to East Boothbay.
