Edgard Parreiras de Oliveira (September 14, 1894 – November 11, 1971) was a Brazilian painter. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He died in 1971 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was known for his landscape paintings, especially of Rio de Janeiro. He was a member of the Grupo dos Cinco, a group of Brazilian painters who sought to develop a national art based on Brazilian themes and motifs. Parreiras was also a teacher and influenced a generation of Brazilian painters. His work is characterized by its use of bright colors and its focus on the natural beauty of Brazil.
