Biography:
Edward Henry Kemp (1868-1948) was a commercial photographer best known for his still photographs and lantern slide collections. He and his wife, Josephine Agnes Sparrow (1868-1941), were known for their 'show and tell' stereopticon and lantern slide lectures. They traveled widely in search of subject matter, including visiting the Southwest in the summer of 1904 and in 1916. The Edward H. Kemp Lantern Slides Company of San Francisco, California produced 3-x-4 inch Hand-Colored Glass Lantern Slides copied from Edward S. Curtis's work.
