Biography:

Eileen Lauterborn is an American artist, also known as Eileen B. Raymond. She is known for her textile art, which often features layers of fabric and thread to create a painterly effect. Her work has been exhibited at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts and she has been interviewed for the Quilt Alliance’s Quilters' S.O.S.- Save Our Stories Oral History Project. Lauterborn's art has also been featured in a bonus segment on the PBS program 'Quilts: The Art of Quilting'. Her work often features intricate details and a focus on texture. Lauterborn's art has been described as kinetic and she is known for her use of color and pattern in her textile art.
