Bessie Hess Huber, also known as Elizabeth Isabel Hess Huber, was a French artist born in Colmar, France in 1884. She passed away in 1975. Huber was known for her work in textiles, specifically her Log Cabin Quilt in the Courthouse Steps variation, which she created in 1910. The quilt is made of cotton and is a part of the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles' collection. Huber's work has also been displayed in galleries and museums, including the Arts and Culture Google platform. Her quilt is considered to be an important piece of American textile art.
