EMA Chokan was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1866 and died in 1938. He was a Japanese artist who specialized in lacquerware. He was also known as 江馬長閑. His works are in the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan and the Ishibashi Foundation Artizon Museum in Tokyo, Japan.
