Biography:

Enguerrand I, Count of Ponthieu, also known as Enguerrand Iron Arm, was the son of Hugh I of Ponthieu and Gisela, daughter of Hugh Capet. He was a Count of Ponthieu from 1052 until his death in 1045. Enguerrand I was married three times and had several children. His second wife was Adelvie, widow of Count Arnold II of Boulogne, and they had three children together: Guy, Bishop of Amiens; Adelaide; and Fulk (later abbot of Forest l'Abbaye). Enguerrand I died at a great age around 1045.
