Biography:

Paolo Naurizio, also known as Francesco Naurizio, was a German painter born in Norimberga in the second decade of the 16th century. He moved to Valsugana, where he was protected by the Welsberg family and obtained citizenship in Borgo Valsugana. He is known for his work in the church of San Giovanni a Liendri, in the commune of Mezzano. His son, Francesco junior, is also considered an artist and was granted citizenship in Borgo Valsugana. Paolo Naurizio is the author of the 'Coronation of Our Lady with Saints' (1583), an oil on canvas painting.
