Biography:
Francisco Costa is a renowned fashion designer and the creative director of 'Calvin Klein Collection'. He was born in Guarani, Brazil. After his mother's untimely death in 1981, he moved to New York City where he studied English at Hunter College and took courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology. He worked for Herbert Rounick and Oscar de la Renta before being appointed chief womenswear designer at Gucci by Tom Ford. In 2003, he joined Calvin Klein Collection as creative director and remained in the role until his departure in 2016. During his tenure, he won two CFDA awards for best womenswear designer. After leaving Calvin Klein, Costa launched his own beauty line, Costa Brazil, which focuses on eco-forward skincare and fragrance products made from natural ingredients found in the Amazon rainforest.
