Biography:
Frans Arnold Breuhaus de Groot was a Dutch marine painter, etcher and lithographer. He was a student of his father Frans Breuhaus de Groot (1796–1875) and studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He was a member of the Pulchri Studio in The Hague and was a teacher at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He was a remarkable figure of Dutch Romanticism. He lived and worked mainly in The Hague, but also in Brussels. He died in Brussels in 1872.
