Koransha is a pottery company founded in 1689 by Matashiro Fukagawa, also known as Eizaemon Fukagawa. It was one of the first potteries to begin porcelain production in Arita, Japan. The company was renamed to Koransha in 1875 by Eizaemon Fukagawa and three partners. Koransha is known for producing Arita porcelain and tableware, and has been appointed an official purveyor to the Imperial Household in Japan. The company's products are highly regarded for their traditional craftsmanship and techniques handed down through generations.
