Biography:
Takashi Fukai is a Japanese contemporary sculptor born in Tokyo, Japan in 1951. He is known for his deep and serene sculptures that have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Japan and abroad. In 1988, he received the Excellence Prize at the Kajima Sculpture Competition. In 2022, he had a solo exhibition at the Itabashi Art Museum titled 'Takashi Fukai Exhibition - Garden of Stories'. He is currently represented by Shikou Gallery in Tokyo.
