Biography:

Frits Schiller (George Friedrich Ferdinand Schiller) was the son of a successful owner of an establishment on the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam and was trained as a painter. He is known for his paintings and works on paper. Many Amsterdammers know him mainly as the owner of Hotel Schiller on Rembrandtplein. He exhibited in the exhibition Onze Kunst van Heden in 1939-1940 at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
