Biography:
Georges Serraz was a French painter and sculptor, born on January 13, 1883, in Is-sur-Tille, France. He was of Savoyard origin and died on June 20, 1964, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Serraz is the father of Michel Serraz. He is known for his work in the Art Deco style and is the co-creator of the Christ the King statue in Madeira, Portugal, built in 1927 and consecrated on October 30, 1927. Serraz worked with French artist Pierre Charles Lenoir on the project.
