Gerrit Jacobus van Soeren was a painter, draftsperson, and art teacher born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 20, 1859, and died in Amsterdam on March 9, 1888. He was known for his nineteenth-century Dutch and Belgian art, modern and contemporary Dutch and Belgian art, iconography, portrait iconography, historical topography, and paintings in the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands Art Collection. He was also represented in the collection of the Rijksmuseum and the Leiden Collection. He was born as Gerrit Jacobus van Soeren and died as Gerrit Jacobus van Soeren.
