Biography:

Faustino Aizkorbe is a Spanish sculptor and painter of international projection, representing abstract sculpture. He is a self-taught artist with a style related to the Basque School of Sculpture. Born on July 20, 1948, in Olloqui, Navarra, Spain, he studied at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Pamplona. His work has been closely linked to the world of art, architecture, decoration, painting, and sculpture, with a focus on public art. He has created numerous sculptures using various materials such as steel, iron, and wood, which can be seen in different locations in Navarra and other places. Some of his notable works include 'Articulación flotante' (1988), 'Torso' (1996), and 'Discos' (1991). Aizkorbe's work has been part of several collective and individual exhibitions, earning him various awards, including the Bilaketa prize and the Gold Medal at the Pollença Sculpture Contest in Palma de Mallorca. He has also had a significant presence in Japan, where he has placed several of his sculptures.
