Biography:
The Kuna people, also known as Guna or Cuna, are an indigenous people of Panama and Colombia. They live in three politically autonomous comarcas or autonomous reservations in Panama, and in a few small villages in Colombia. The majority of the Kuna people live on small islands off the coast of the comarca of Guna Yala, also known as the San Blas Islands. They are known for their beautiful textile art, called molas, which are made by layering and sewing together pieces of cloth in elaborate patterns. The Kuna language, Dulegaya, belongs to the Chibchan language family.
