Biography:
Herbert Pullinger was an American illustrator, a painter and printmaker who was born in Philadelphia in 1878. He studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art, the Drexel Institute, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Pullinger taught at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art from 1923 to 1958. He was an accomplished American etcher, wood engraver, lithographer, painter and illustrator. Pullinger died in 1961.
