Hilary Wirri is an Australian artist, born in 1956 in Ragged’s Well, Australia. He is a member of the Luritja language group and is known for his watercolor paintings on board. He is one of the 'Hermannsburg School' style watercolor artists, who paint in the tradition of their relative Albert Namatjira, a famous Australian artist of the 20th century. Hilary was inspired to begin painting himself in the 1980s and has become an established painter whose works are displayed in many private collections. He is represented by several galleries, including Kate Owen Gallery, Mbantua Gallery, and Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre.
