Hugo Richter-Lefensdorf was a German painter born on January 9, 1853, in Levensdorf bei Waren (Müritz), Germany. He died on April 22, 1904, in Ahrenshoop. Richter-Lefensdorf was known for his landscapes and was part of the first generation of the Ahrenshoop artists' colony. He studied at the Academy in Berlin and was influenced by Eugen Bracht.
