Biography:
Présence Panchounette was a French artist collective, active from 1968 to 1990. The group was composed of Christian Baillet, Pierre Cocrelle, Didier Dumay, Michel Ferrière, Jean-Yves Gros, Frédéric Roux and Jacques Soulillou. They were known for their slogans, graffiti and installations, often with a humorous and provocative touch. Their first manifestation was a slogan graffiti in 1968, and their first exhibition was the 'Biennale des arts Panchounette' in 1972. They had a retrospective at the CAPC in Bordeaux in 2008.
