Jackie Brown is an American actress born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States in 1951. She is best known for her roles in blaxploitation films such as Coffy and Foxy Brown. She also played the lead role in the 1997 Quentin Tarantino film Jackie Brown, which was based on the novel Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard. The film was a tribute to 1970s blaxploitation films and revitalized Grier's career. She has also appeared in numerous TV shows and films throughout her career.
