Biography:
James Jean is a Taiwanese-American visual artist working primarily in painting and drawing. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1979 and raised in New Jersey. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he studied various forms of artistic expression, including the piano and trumpet. He became a cover artist for DC Comics and Marvel Comics in 2001, and has since won numerous awards for his work. He is known for his illustrations of the comic book series Fables and The Umbrella Academy, and has worked with clients such as Time Magazine, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, ESPN, Atlantic Records, Target, Linkin Park, Playboy, Knopf, and Prada. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
