Biography:

Janina Barcicka was a Polish sculptor born in 1933 in Poland and died in 2010. She studied at the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1955 to 1961. She obtained her diploma in the workshop of Professor Franciszek Strynkiewicz in 1961. Barcicka's work is characterized by her use of themes such as music and the cosmos, where time and space are interconnected. She is known for her sculptures and has had her work exhibited in various galleries and museums in Poland. Barcicka's sculpture 'Bust of Fryderyk Chopin' is one of her most famous works.
