Jean Deyrolle was born on August 20, 1911, in Nogent-sur-Marne, France. He was a French painter and teacher. Deyrolle was a professor at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Munich from 1959 to 1967. He worked tirelessly, exhibiting, painting, and creating works on paper until his death in 1967. Deyrolle is known for his geometric abstract paintings and is considered one of the most important representatives of the Geometric abstraction in France. He is close in style to painters such as Alberto Magnelli, Jean Leppien, Michel Seuphor, Emile Gilioli, and Aurélie Nemours.
