Biography:
Jeffrey Spedding is a portrait and landscape painter and draughtsman, and teacher, who acquired his diploma in design (painting special) at Wimbledon School of Art, 1965. He is best known for his portrait of Benjamin Britten, created in 1984 using acrylic on canvas. Spedding has also painted many landscapes and seascapes, and his portraiture specializes in composers and musicians. He is also the guest visual artist of Tom East. Spedding's art has been featured in Dream Catcher poetry-zine, and his work has been sold at various auctions, with some of his pieces being acquired by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Spedding's art is also featured in the Google Arts & Culture platform.
