Biography:

Jerzy Wardak (March 14, 1938 – March 6, 2022) was a Polish artist photographer. He was born in Świdwin, Poland and died in Toruń, Poland. Wardak was a member of the Okręgu Kujawsko-Pomorskiego Związku Polskich Artystów Fotografików and was awarded the title of Artiste FIAP (AFIAP). He was also a member of the Fotoklubu Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Regionu Kujawsko-Pomorskiego and was a honorary member of the club. Wardak was a graduate of the Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Gdynia Orłowie and studied at the Studium Nauczycielskie – Wydział Rysunku i Prac Ręcznych in Gdańsk. He also studied at the Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika in Toruń – Wydział Sztuk Pięknych. In 1961, he was one of the co-founders of the group fotograficzna 'Zero-61'.
