Biography:

Heinrich Geissler was a German glassblower and physicist known for his inventions of the hand-pumped Geissler mercury vacuum pump and the Geissler tube. He worked at various German universities, including the University of Bonn, where he designed an apparatus for evacuating glass tubes. His work contributed to the discovery of the electron and the development of neon lighting.
