Jan Vrolijk, also known as Johannes Martinus Vrolijk, was a Dutch painter, watercolorist, and etcher born in The Hague, Netherlands in 1846. He was taught to paint by Pieter Stortenbeker and specialized in painting grazing cows, goats, and sheep in a summer landscape. Vrolijk passed away in The Hague in 1894.
