Biography:

John Hilton III is a Professor of Religious Education at Brigham Young University. He was born in San Francisco and grew up in Seattle. He served a mission in Denver and received a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He is married to Lani and they have six children. They have lived in Boise, Boston, Miami, Mexico, Jerusalem, and China. John has a Masters degree from Harvard and a Ph.D from BYU. He is the author of over 60 peer-reviewed articles and has a variety of research interests including teaching and learning, open educational resources, and the Savior’s sacrifice on the cross.
