Biography:
José Antonio Eslava Urra is a Spanish painter, sculptor, and engraver. He was born in Pamplona, Spain in 1936. Eslava Urra began his artistic training at the studio of Crispín Martínez and later studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Pamplona. In 1954, he moved to Madrid to study at the Higher School of Fine Arts, where he was taught by Luis Alegre Núñez. Eslava Urra has held numerous individual exhibitions in Spain, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom, and his work can be found in various museums and collections, including the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid. He is also a professor at the Public University of Navarra.
