Biography:

José María Yturralde is a Spanish painter, professor, and artist. He was born in Cuenca, Spain in 1942. Yturralde studied at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, where he earned his degree and doctorate in Fine Arts. He has held various positions, including catedrático of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Valencia. Yturralde's work is characterized by its use of science and technology, particularly in his 'Figuras Imposibles' series. He has also explored the use of laser and holography in his art. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Yturralde has been involved in various academic and administrative roles, including serving as director of the Department of Painting at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
