Biography:

Josep Jordi Guardiola Bonet was a Catalan artist born in Barcelona, Spain in 1869 and died in 1950. He was a ceramist and painter, known for his contributions to the Noucentisme movement in the field of ceramics. He began his training at La Llotja, the Barcelona School of Fine Arts, as a painter and sketcher and soon took part in various art exhibitions. He is best known for his ceramic creations, but he never gave up painting. He was awarded the Creus de Sant Jordi, the second-highest civil distinction awarded in Catalonia (Spain).
