Lucien Falize, also known as Joseph Lucien Mignon-Falize, was a French jeweler and writer born in Paris, France on August 4, 1839 and died on September 4, 1897. He was responsible for pioneering and driving the Art Nouveau movement with his firm, Falize. Falize is known for his breathtaking and innovative designs for both public and private sales. He was made a full partner in his father's firm, Falize, in 1869 and took over the firm in 1876. Lucien Falize married Louise Clémentine Poulard in 1876 and had three sons: André Alexis Eugène, Jean Henri Lucien, and Pierre Isidore.
