Julian Andrew Calder is an English photographer born in 1957 in Essex, United Kingdom. He studied photography at Guildford School of Art and began his photographic career as an assistant for advertising photographers. Julian Calder is known for his portraits of members of the British royal family and other notable figures. He has also written a manual of photography. In 2010, he photographed Queen Elizabeth II for the portrait 'Queen of Scots, Sovereign of the Most Ancient and Noble Order of the Thistle and Chief of Chiefs'. He currently lives and works in the United Kingdom.
